Volunteer
Teach the subject you know best, to students who need it.
We match volunteer mentors to partner nonprofits by subject and schedule, then support you through course drafting and every week of the term.
Who we're looking for
You don't need to have taught before.
- University and high school students are both welcome.
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one of our course tracks.
- Comfortable teaching online — prior tutoring experience helps, but isn't required.
- English proficiency required. Additional languages are a real asset.
What you're committing to
- A weekly class
- 45–90 minutes, weekly or biweekly depending on the partner organization's program.
- A planning call
- Each week, to review your lesson plan and slides with our team before you teach.
- A short recap
- After each session: what you covered, and anything that came up.
- You are never alone in the room
- A team member joins your first few classes as support, and your slides are reviewed before they're used.
What happens after you apply
From this form to your first class.
Interest survey
Tell us your subject, your availability, and where you're based. It takes a few minutes.
One-on-one kickoff call
Every interested mentor gets a short introductory call with our team to align on subject, availability, and expectations.
Matching
We match you to a partner nonprofit's needs based on subject and schedule.
Initiation meeting
You join our joint meeting with the nonprofit to hear the student context firsthand.
Course drafting
You co-develop the course outline with guidance from our team.
First class
You teach.
Mentor interest form
Tell us what you can teach.
This is an expression of interest, not a commitment. Nobody is matched to a partner organization before we've spoken.
What the form asks for
- Your name, email, and where you're based
- Whether you're in high school, at university, or recently graduated
- Which of the five course tracks you could teach
- Languages you speak, and any tutoring experience
- Your general weekly availability, and your time zone
How long
About five minutes.
